- תְּלַגI (v. next w.) to be white. Sabb.152a טור ת׳ the mountain is covered with snow (my hair is white). Pa. חַּלֵּג to whiten, wash (wheat). Y.Pes.III, 30a top הורי … ומְתַלְּגָה ארבעה זמנין (ed. ומתלנה) allowed the millers to put a Tetarton of water to every Modius of wheat, and wash it four times; (Korb. ʿEdah: ומְתַלְּנָהּ swing it, fr. תלל; perh. to be read: מטננה, v. טְנַן).
